   재담과 소화의 정의에 관해 문의 드립니다.
선생님. 안녕하세요. 저는 서강대학교에서 송효섭교수님 지도하에 석사논문을 쓰고 있는 김효연입니다. 언제나 선생님의 방대한 연구저서와 그 깊이에 놀라고 있었으나, 이번에 논문을 준비하면서 선생님이 지금까지 연구하신 성과에 대하여 다시금 놀라게 되었습니다.

다름이 아니라. '재담'과 '소화'의 개념에 대하여 의문이 들어 이렇게 질문을 올립니다.
제가 1910년대의 재담에 관해 자료를 조사하던 중에, 이 둘의 명칭이 학자에 따라서 혼용되어 사용됨을 알 수 있었습니다. 선생님과 서대석선생님은 '재담'이라 칭하시던데 ,  이 '재담'이라는 갈래가 설화의 하위구분이라는 것은 알수 있었으나,

다음과 같은 사항에 대하여 의문이 듭니다.

'재담'이 구체적으로 '소화'의 하위개념으로 1900년대라는 특정한 시대를 위한 갈래인지 아니면 소화와는 별도로 대등한 개념이고 용어도 틀린 것이지, 혹은 소화와 같은 개념인데 용어만 다른 것인지 궁금합니다.

그리고 선생님의 논문인 '1910년대 재담집의 내용과 성격'을 매우 잘 읽어는데요, 혹 '재담'에 관한 개념에 대해 나와 있는 다른 저서가 계신지 궁금합니다.
